The Study
Of Claims
Clearly
Independent research and guidance—from first notice to settlement, and everything in between.
The Claimology Report is an editorial division of BCSI devoted to honesty and balance in the insurance claim journey.
What is ology?
The word ology means the subject of study or a branch of knowledge or in friendly terms “the study of”. In this case, the study of claims or the insurance claims process. An insurance claim is a request for payout from a policy/contract. The insured party makes the request to the insurer. The request is for payment to cover a loss described in their policy/contract. When the insurers receive the request, they will either confirm or deny the claim. What is the process that takes place before the policyholder receives the claim determination from the insurer?
Claim-ology deals with the study of filing an insurance claim and the process and other factors affecting that process.
Bureau of Claim Scene Investigations (BCSI) and The Claim-ology Report share their viewpoints, positions, opinions, and perspectives on a variety of current trends, and topics that are emerging in the insurance claims industry.
The goal of The Claim-ology Report is that our research, viewpoints and case studies may be published or featured in blog posts, white papers, or used in educational seminars, or presented in webinars or conferences.
We publish methods-first research, plain-English explainers, and practical tools that help professionals and policyholders make better decisions. Our promise is simple: trust, truth, and facts matter.
“Our clients Trust BCSI to tell the Truth about the Facts obtained during an investigation”.
